With approximately 14 days remaining I am getting super excited to meet this little girl. When I am not working I am trying to pass time by doing everything I can possibly think of… cleaning, cooking, running errands, shopping, walking, working out, reading, watching movies.. etc. Being patient at this point is easier said then done, but with each day that passes I get more excited!

My doctor appointment was great this morning. Everything looks great with the baby, and I am 1cm Dilated and about 60% effaced! Making progress Keep your fingers crossed she makes an appearance before xmas.. thanks!

Pregnancy Fitness Update: This past week of exercise was great and the primary focus was on walking. My two strength workouts were from Group Power and I also participated in some of the boot camp class last tuesday.

Here is what Baby G has been up to this past week!!

38 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 19-22 inches long, she is still the size of a watermelon, Weighing anywhere between 6-7 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: up 1/2 lb.. still up 22.2 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY Taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power class (strength training)

THURSDAY 30 minute walk on the treadmill with a slight incline

FRIDAY 50 minute walk outside

SATURDAY OFF DAY

SUNDAY 20 minute walk with the dog

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: I can’t think of any aversions from the past week.. I guess that’s because we ate a lot of the same turkey leftovers for a few days straight

FOOD CRAVINGS: chocolate.. for the first time I had a serious sweet craving and chocolate was it. I guess I might have been low in magnesium but I indulged in some plain M&M’s and a cookie that my mom made. My other cravings haven’t changed, I need fruit daily and lately it’s clementines and berries. I love yogurt parfaits and usually have that as a snack. Oh yeah 1 more craving TURKEY… I can’t get enough.

SLEEP: I can’t complain too much in the sleep department. Although getting up to pee is annoying, I am used to it and not phased at all. I do however feel super challenged when I try to roll out of bed! Can’t wait to have my abs back.. we take that for granted!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: No new maternity clothes. I think I should be okay up until the end with what I have now.

STRETCH MARKS: NONE

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss the usual, my old clothes, my pre-pregnancy workouts, sleeping through the night, laying on my back and my stomach.

MOVEMENT: Baby G’s little feet are always kicking my up my right rib cage, it is getting tighter in there so she must be trying to stretch out. Her hiccups are still daily and they are really low!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: No baby purchases this week!

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON…

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: FLAT….

SYMPTOMS: braxton hicks contractions are more frequent, they are so annoying! I don’t get heartburn anymore which is fabulous.. so I can eat spicy food again! Too bad my tolerance for spice has gone down. I am a wimp.

LABOR SIGNS: Last night I had TONS of Braxton hicks contractions accompanied by some mild cramping. I will take that as a good sign!! Bring it on.

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Doing some christmas shopping, I am running short on time so I really need to get it done. Also I have Marc’s 30th bday to shop for. ideas??

It feels great to say that I am officially FULL TERM with this pregnancy. This means Baby G can come whenever she is ready She seems to be pretty comfy though and I don’t feel like she’s ready to come just yet. 21 days and counting!!

Pregnancy Fitness Update: This past week my workouts were great, I did notice that I was a little shorter of breath and made sure to take rest and drink water as needed. I am still doing lighter weights with all my workouts but it feels good to exercise and move daily!

Here is what Baby G has been up to this past week!!

37 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 19-20 inches long, the size of a small watermelon, Weighing anywhere between 5.5-6.5 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: my weight has been fluctuating but no actual gain this morning.. still up 21.6 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY Taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power class (strength training)

THURSDAY taught boot camp and taught senior fitness

FRIDAY OFF/REST

SATURDAY 35 minute cardio fast-paced walk, it was cold out!

SUNDAY 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: Last week I had no aversions, this week it was a struggle to add veggies into my diet. I went with the ones that worked. Mushrooms, green beans, and some kale in my pasta. Besides the veggies I didn’t have anything else that made me sick to my stomach!

FOOD CRAVINGS: This week I loved fruit, especially clementines & pineapple. speaking of I need to buy more. I also found myself craving protein, any kind.. chicken, turkey, greek yogurt, milk. I think the baby is growing!? I did have a craving for chocolate this weekend and indulged in a homemade low-fat brownie with some healthy vanilla ice cream. Delicious treat.

SLEEP: I sleep great but I wake up 2 times per night to pee now. It doesn’t phase me though, I go right back to sleep!!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I bought a purple top to wear on Thanksgiving, it is a little longer so I plan to wear it with some skinny jeans and knee high boots.

STRETCH MARKS: NONE

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I really miss sleeping on my stomach this week and getting out of bed without thinking! It is taking more effort in the middle of the night. My abs don’t work like they used to

MOVEMENT: Baby G’s movements have changed. She is still active but its more kicking and stretching. I feel her feet a lot in the same spot on my side near my right rib cage. She also still gets hiccups daily which is always fun!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: This past weekend we headed to buybuybaby to buy some remaining items that we need before the baby comes. Here are some of the items we purchased: hamper, pacifiers, more bottles, bottle cleaner, receiving blankets, some stroller accessories, a car seat sleeping bag (I made up that name), the list goes on and on! I can’t believe how much stuff such a tiny person needs.

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON…

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: FLAT….

SYMPTOMS: Some braxton hicks contractions but no other noticeable symptoms besides being tired at the end of the day!

LABOR SIGNS: Contractions.. i had a bunch on Sunday but still practice ones! My doctor appointment this morning was great, the baby is healthy and the doctor said my cervix is thinning.

Here is a comparison shot from 37 weeks and 30 1/2 weeks

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Thanksgiving and a long weekend with family! Also looking forward to setting up some christmas decorations once the thanksgiving festivities are over.. I gotta get ahead on the xmas decor before the baby comes!

28 days and counting… It’s getting more real with each week that passes and I’m super anxious for the baby’s arrival! I feel so much more organized and prepared after this weekend’s productivity. The to-do list only has a couple items remaining and I don’t rushed at all! Such a great feeling.

Pregnancy Fitness Update: This past week I was pretty active but not any more then I have been in the past few weeks. In group power I pretty much coach everyone through the abs track. It’s nearly impossible to do ab exercises at this point. My range of motion on squats has gotten a bit smaller but on a sumo squats it is the same.

Here is what Baby G has been up to this past week!!

35 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 19.5 inches long, the size of a Head of Romaine Lettuce, Weighing anywhere between 5-6 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: I didn’t gain anything this past week, still up a total of 21 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY Taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power class (strength training)

THURSDAY taught boot camp and taught senior fitness

FRIDAY OFF/REST

SATURDAY cardio walk outside 20 mins, plus practice group power session at home (25mins)

SUNDAY cardio walk outside 20 mins

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: None!! It is very nice to say that.. I ate veggies no problem and I even had some spicy salsa which I haven’t been able to eat my whole pregnancy!

FOOD CRAVINGS: I’m getting repetitive but fruit… and eggs & toast are a must daily. I also loved potatoes this week… any kind, mashed sweet potatoes, baked potato, and also some baked french fries. Yum.

SLEEP: Sleep has been good, I am more tired at night so I’ve been heading to bed a few minutes earlier. I also get up to pee 1-2x.. but it doesn’t really phase me. Good prep for the baby!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I got a couple pairs of pajamas that I can wear in the hospital, they are cotton and super loose. Nothing special, but they look comfy!

STRETCH MARKS: still none, I’m keeping my fingers crossed nothing changes.

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss my old clothes, I miss my old workouts with boot camp style, I miss being able to run, I miss jumping, I miss seared ahi tuna, I miss chugging coffee (not like I did it a lot but I would if I could!)

MOVEMENT: Baby G is strong and she’s let me know a lot this week. Her feet can kick hard too and I thought I bruised a rib the other day! not joking.

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: No baby purchases this past week, but I did buy some stuff to pack for the hospital. It’s about time I got organized!

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON…

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: FLAT….

SYMPTOMS: It seems like I get more contractions on the weekend, probably because I do different activities! I had a tonnnn of braxton hicks contractions and a few painful ones walking around the store. Besides the contractions and a slight bruised rib from the baby girl’s kicks.. no other symptoms.

LABOR SIGNS: Contractions.. but they are the practice ones, I think!

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Hanging with my girlfriends this Friday night… it has been a while since we were all together. I also can’t wait for thanksgiving and celebrating with family… and not shortly after Marc’s 30th bday in December.

Hitting the 35 week mark is making it feel like there’s really not that much time left! I have 35 days until the baby potentially arrives…. give or take a few if she comes early or late. Either way I want a healthy baby so she can come when she’s ready. Just please don’t come on xmas haha.

Pregnancy fitness update: My strength workouts this past week were 2 group power classes, which seems to be plenty. During the class I am modifying the abs-track by coaching through some of the sit-ups that are completely flat on the step. I chose lighter weights last week which seemed to help and I wasn’t sore at all this week. For cardio, I did some biking and elliptical (very light intensity) and on the Friday-Sunday were walks outside! I have a feeling walking will be my go to cardio pretty soon.

My doctor’s appointment this morning went well. Baby is doing great and measuring right on track. The doctor did ask me to slow down for the next 10 days… what does slowing down mean? I guess less exercise for me. Which means finding a sub for my group power class next week She said once I hit 37 weeks I can do whatever…

Here is what Baby G has been up to this past week!!

35 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 19.5 inches long, the size of a honey dew melon, Weighing about 5.5 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: gained 1lb this past week, total up 21 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY Taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power class (strength training)

THURSDAY taught boot camp and taught senior fitness

FRIDAY 20 minutes light cardio elliptical, walk with Cooper at Bruce Park

SATURDAY cardio walk outside 25 mins

SUNDAY cardio walk outside 30 mins

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: Spinach again!! I feel like I am back in my 1st trimester. Some vegetables are just grossing me out. I am focusing on eating the ones that are appealing and avoiding the ones that aren’t right now.

FOOD CRAVINGS: As usual fruit, but I like carbs too. Whole grain bread, homemade pumpkin oat-cookies, salty snacks like thin-triscuits with sea salt (only 3 ingredients), I also still love breakfast (eggs & Toast) I will eat it any time of day if you want to make it for me.

SLEEP: believe it or not last night slept through the night and I am still comfortable sleeping. Every other night this past week I get up once to pee. NOT BAD!!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: Nothing new. I only plan on getting a holiday outfit for thanksgiving and hopefully wearing what I have up until the end. My mom also gave me a couple of winter coats she had.. and they fit!!

STRETCH MARKS: None…

Baby Bump Picture post group power workout

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I really missed laying on my stomach this weekend, it is getting annoying laying on my side all the time. I also miss getting up easier. When I am laying down on the couch, floor or bed I actually have to think about getting up where as before I would just pop right up.

MOVEMENT: Baby G’s movements are strong and her kicks to my ribs are a little more alarming. I literally jump when she kicks me. She hiccups usually 2x per day. Once in the morning and once at night and they last for a minute each time. It’s nuts!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: I purchased a cute animal print onesie, some baby headbands, a xmas ornament for the baby, and we got a lovely bag of goodies from one of my co-workers. She made us a baby blanket, bought us some cute onesies, and an adorable osh-kosh overalls outfit!!

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON…

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: FLAT…. seems like it once to come out but I don’t think I am ready for it.

SYMPTOMS: Friday and Saturday in the middle of the night around 330-4am I woke up to some stomach cramping. It was hard to fall back asleep and kept me up for a good hour. I’m assuming they are false contractions. Part of the preparation for the delivery. Yesterday I had a couple of pretty intense contractions while we were shopping at the grocery store. They got sharper as I walked and calmed down when I took a seat. So.. Yesterday afternoon was spent relaxing!!

LABOR SIGNS: some contractions, but they aren’t frequent enough to be labor!! Plus it’s too early, we need to keep her in there for 2 more weeks.

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Getting our bookshelves on the wall. Yesterday marc hung our curtain rod and we put the pink ruffle curtains up.. very cute! Everything in the baby’s room is coming together!

42 days… (6 weeks) left and time is traveling a lot slower now. The anticipation is growing and growing and I find myself questioning will she really be here in 6 weeks…. or is it 5 weeks… or 7 weeks??? Who knows. This might be one of the more frustrating parts of pregnancy, not knowing the arrival date! what do you think? Do you have a guess?

Pregnancy fitness update: Everything was great this past week and I got in some great workouts. I used lighter weights as usual but I still felt the soreness. Pushups were soooo challenging. I think part of it is the increase in belly size over the last 2 weeks and I literally have no ab strength left to assist my pushups so its all arms! Man the extra baby weight makes it tough. At least my arms are getting stronger!

I am happy that it is November now, I love the holiday season and this season is definitely going to be a special one.

Here is what Baby G has been up to this past week!!

34 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 18.5 inches long, the size of a canteloupe , Weighing about 5.0 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: gained 1lb this past week, total up 20 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY Taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power class (strength training)

THURSDAY boot camp workout and taught senior fitness

FRIDAY 20 minutes light cardio

SATURDAY cardio walk outside 25 mins

SUNDAY cardio walk outside 25 mins

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: nothing grossed me out this week, it was kinda nice!

FOOD CRAVINGS: This week I found myself leaning towards carbs and fruit! I think that must be because Baby G is growing faster. I have a greek yogurt and fruit bowl every day, it always hits the spot. My favorite meal is still breakfast (eggs & toast) It doesn’t get old. I indulged in some dark chocolate this halloween too..

SLEEP: I have been sleeping like a rock lately. It does take me a little longer to get to sleep because of all the movements in my belly but once I’m asleep I feel like I could sleep forever. I always pop up when my alarm goes off but this past week was harder and I definitely wish there were more hours in the night. I am still waking up to pee once during the night.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I bought a cute long black lace top (not maternity) but I am going to wear it for the holiday if my belly still fits in it!

STRETCH MARKS: None… keeping my fingers crossed it stays this way

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss getting out of bed with ease, I miss the usual exercises that I am not allowed to do ( jumping, ab work, etc) I really miss wearing heels. It’s just not ideal for me anymore and I can’t wait to put them back on once the baby is born.

MOVEMENT: Her movements are different now and sometimes her movements make me nauseous!! I feel like I can distinguish where her feet are (usually up by my rib cage or to the side) when she moves its a little more uncomfortable, my guess is there’s less room in there for her to spin around now.

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: We bought some little things at Target this past weekend, pacifiers, another cute crib sheet, etc. we were looking for some cute headbands but I couldn’t find any

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON… I am thankful for not having swelling issues

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: FLAT…. not in or out

SYMPTOMS: in the beginning of the week I was tired, but I’m blaming that on lack of sleep. I definitely caught up this weekend with the time change.. thank you fall!

LABOR SIGNS: some contractions, but nothing frequent enough.. phew!

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: buying some baby stuff this weekend. We have some little items we would like to get and I also just want to shop for her!

Last night we made healthy homemade wheat pizza for dinner, it was quite delicious! We had 2 pizzas, 1/2 mushrooms and 1/2 cheese with fresh basil, and then one with chicken, spinach, peppers, and gorgonzola. We cut them into little squares, and I had a couple of each, I would highly recommend making your own pizzas!

After dinner, Cooper laid on me and I swear he was feeling some baby movements with his paw! Or at least I am pretending he knew what was going on.

So my baby countdown has begun.. 49 days!! That sounds crazy to say because it sounds so soon, but Marc and I are so excited for the big day. I feel very organized and we have accomplished so much around the house, but I do feel like there’s a lot more to do. Does your to-do list ever end? I don’t think so..

Pregnancy Fitness update: this past week I didn’t exercise as much as I had planned on originally. I think my body needed a break. Ab work is as usual getting more difficult, the belly just gets in the way!! I am hoping to get in some light weight strength workouts this week and my cardio of choice lately is outdoor walks since the fall weather has been awesome.

Here’s what has been going on this past week with BABY G:

33 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 18.5 inches long, the size of a PINEAPPLE, Weighing about 4.5 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: total up 19 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY OFF

WEDNESDAY OFF

THURSDAY taught boot camp

FRIDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training)

SATURDAY cardio walk outside

SUNDAY cardio walk outside

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: At this point I do have some aversions but I just stay away from them. So this week I didn’t run into any trouble

FOOD CRAVINGS: I really wanted steak, a baked potato, and broccoli on Sunday night and that’s what we had for dinner! It was great. I think eggs and toast are a craving or staple now. I don’t feel complete in the morning without it! I love fruit.. any kind, berries, pineapple, apples, bananas. I wish I could eat it all day.

SLEEP: Sleeps been pretty good, I feel blessed. I only get up 1 time per night to pee and it doesn’t bother me.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I bought a couple new long sleeve tops this weekend at Old navy but they weren’t maternity. They were super comfy though and a little bit longer so very cute with leggings.

STRETCH MARKS: None… phew

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss the usual, laying on my stomach and doing boot camp style workouts. If my doctor said it was okay I would probably still be doing burpees and jump rope! haha

MOVEMENT: she’s getting stronger. When she moves it is a little more uncomfortable probably because she weighs more now.

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: Marc and I went shopping and bought 2 little newborn onesies. One that says my first christmas (lets hope she’s born before then) and a red “I love my daddy” onesie… so cute

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON… thankfully no swelling.

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: the belly button is officially FLAT…. weird!

SYMPTOMS: some symptoms I had this week were contractions, yes contractions.. I had about 4 in an hour last Tuesday and on Friday they did a test and I had 3 in an hour. We don’t need Baby G coming this soon. I haven’t been tired, I’m hoping the tiredness that everyone talks about in the 3rd trimester never comes. I feel pretty good!

LABOR SIGNS: some contractions but not too frequent

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: this weekend as usual! We are going to hang some bookshelves in the nursery. I am also hoping the weather is nice, because walking Cooper is my go to low impact exercise on the weekends now.

I can finally say that time is starting to slow down.. are these last 8 weeks going to take forever?? I need to keep busy and not focus on the december 17th due date!

Pregnancy Fitness update: This past week has been great. I have had good energy over all and really no major complaints! I didn’t get in as many workouts from Friday-Sunday because of all my baby shower errands. I knew that this week was going to be jam packed so I took advantage of not working out for a few days. As far as fitness goes, I don’t feel any different, and I don’t really get too short of breath. I can’t do jumping exercises and I’m super limited on my ab exercises. The ab work that I do is challenging and I have a very short range of motion on every exercise.

Members, clients, family, and friends have made comments/questions about how long I can work for or how long I can continue exercising and teaching classes. The answer is ….as long as the doctor says it’s fine I am going to continue! Exercise keeps me mentally focused and I feel good after any type of workout even if its a walk with the dog. Staying strong through this pregnancy has helped me in so many ways. I have no mental stress, no back pain, no swelling anywhere on my body, & no stretch marks. I have also noticed on days that I exercise I sleep better. When I am not active I have a hard time falling asleep.

This coming week I am teaching 7 classes on top of training.. so I think come Saturday I will want a day off

Here’s what has been going on this past week with BABY G:

32 WEEKS

THE BABY IS about 18-18.5 inches long, the size of a honeydew melon, Weighing about 4- 4.5 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: gained close to 1/2lb this past week so I’m up 18 – 18 1/2 lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

(These aren’t ideal photos of my belly but I had no one to take a picture of me this morning, I will take more tonight!)

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY Group power class (1 hour strength training)

THURSDAY taught boot camp & senior fitness

FRIDAY 15 minutes of Cardio and walk with cooper

SATURDAY OFF DAY, walk with cooper

SUNDAY OFF DAY, walk with cooper

MONDAY Group Power (1 hour strength training) and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: Not too many this week. Just the usual, plain veggies. Also, mexican food still makes me gag… will I ever like it again?

FOOD CRAVINGS: Did you guys know I like pumpkin?? haha, bring it on. Pumpkin muffins, bread, pumpkin oat bars, pumpkin coffee.. at least it’s all healthy. That’s because I make the food myself. I dont really care for all the processed preservative stuff. My mom made chicken cutlets last week and I loved them, when they ran out I was devastated.

SLEEP: Sleeps been pretty good, I sleep through the night for the most part.. but I am going to bed later then normal.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I bought my baby shower top at Destination Maternity. It was black lace with a cute ribbon around the top of my baby bump.

STRETCH MARKS: None, yet

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss laying on my stomach, rolling out of bed easier, wearing all my cute fall tops from last year, running, having a glass of wine… non of this stuff bothers me but when I think about it I guess I sorta miss it.

MOVEMENT: Movement is an understatement, Baby G is non-stop…. just like her mama haha. Her movements are becoming stronger and they aren’t subtle. I feel her little feet near my ribs a lot. Kinda uncomfortable!

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: We haven’t purchased anything but we got TONS of gifts at the shower.

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: Looking more flat these days

SYMPTOMS: Not too many symptoms this week. I’d say a little less sleep, peeing a lot more, eating a lot more, and a little more tired!

LABOR SIGNS: NONE, but it is still early

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Setting up the rest of the nursery with all the new stuff we got from the Baby Shower!!

This morning was quite the busy morning for me with no breaks!! I was at the gym for 6am and trained 1 client before I powered up for my Group Power class.. it was awesome and such a good workout my muscles are still tired. I quickly ate protein bar and trained another client before teaching my senior class. I feel like I have been re-fueling all day and trying to make healthy choices to keep my body happy!!

On to the good stufffff………

Yesterday was my baby shower! It was such an awesome day and I got to spend it with all of my close family & friends. Baby G got so many amazing gifts and we are very thankful for them.

My mom’s friend Debbie was generous and let my mom host the shower at her house! Let me tell you it couldn’t have been more perfect. The shower had a fall theme with lots of autumn decor and pumpkins galore.

(the pumpkin items go along with my ultimate pregnancy craving… pumpkin!)

mini pumpkin muffins

And now on to the food… I don’t think there’s a word to describe about how tasty it was. Debbie’s husband is a chef, and he made a fabulous brunch for us. On the menu was cannoli stuffed french toast, frittata, bacon, pumpkin muffins, salad, chicken marsala, fall harvest butternut squash lasagna, etc.

When it comes to food, I do indulge but I make smart choices. I am always conscious of what I am eating and try not to make my plate full of all unhealthy items. It’s all about balance! …. it’s funny how I only took a picture of the salad

After we ate brunch it was time to open presents!

We got lots of cute stuff and it was so much fun seeing all the little baby items. Especially the little Yankees T-shirt.. Marc is not happy about this and I am sure he will try to buy her a red sox shirt.

Dessert was chocolate mousse, chocolate chip cookies, & pumpkin cookies!

My friends!

More family & my college friends!!

The shower made me want Baby G to arrive sooner rather then later!! It was so much fun to open all the cute baby items and I can’t wait to set up the rest of the nursery. She is one lucky girl already!

Time is flying by, we have 9 weeks to go!

This past week I was very active and by Saturday afternoon I was ready to chill out. My workouts were great this week, we finally launched our Group Power class and taught some great workouts to the members. During the workouts my modifications were the same as last week, a little lighter on the weights and shorter range of motion on abs. My legs were quite sore this week, I guess all the added baby weight is making me work harder!

My belly is taking over now, and I am starting to notice it more and more with daily activities! I had a Dr appointment this morning and everything is looking great. That is always fabulous news to hear… the baby is measuring on track, my weight gain is perfect, and the baby is head down. Wow. She said the baby’s positioning can still change due to flips & turns but I am hoping she gets cozy fast.

The Dr has no issue with my exercise and they are super supportive of staying active for the remainder of my pregnancy as long as I am comfortable

Here’s what has been going on this past week!

31 WEEKS

THE BABY IS between 17-18 inches the size of a Coconut, Weighing about 3.5 lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: gained 1/2lb this week, up 18lbs

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

WORKOUTS:

TUESDAY taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY VIP Group power class… man was it tough! (1 hour)

THURSDAY taught boot camp

FRIDAY 15 minutes of Cardio and 1 hour light strength training

SATURDAY 1 hour group power workout (my co-worker needed to film so I got to do the workout again!)

SUNDAY OFF DAY lots of relaxation

MONDAY taught 1 senior fitness class

FOOD AVERSIONS: This past week was rough with food. There were so many foods I didn’t want to eat. I cant name them all in particular, but every time I opened the fridge or pantry I was turned away by everything! I think if I had someone cook food and put it in front of me I would eat it but this whole food thing and the nausea is getting old. My top aversion is veggies, I force myself to eat some sort of veggie daily but it’s hard. Chicken has been a little unappealing.. I made Marc chili-lime chicken and I gagged after if came out of the oven.

FOOD CRAVINGS: No cravings, I know I am boring. I do like carbs and dairy this past week. Yogurt, milk, chocolate milk, pumpkin bread, eggs & toast, fruit, and sandwiches have all been treating me quite well!! I could eat breakfast food 3x a day.

SLEEP: I am getting tired a little earlier at night, but not falling asleep early which I probably should. I still sleep great and I really can’t complain because I only get up once to pee which isn’t bad. Thank you strong bladder. Let’s just hope it holds strong for a few more weeks because I like my sleep.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: My mom’s friend Debbie bought me this really cute maternity top/tunic. It is black and grey animal print and goes perfect with stretchies & boots for the fall. (as you can see in the first picture above!)

STRETCH MARKS: None, yet

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss laying on my stomach. I also miss rolling over easier. I do feel like my belly is getting bigger and making it harder to move once I am laying down in bed.

MOVEMENT: The baby is constantly moving around. I would actually prefer her to nap a bit more, haha.

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: No items purchased, but our rocker came! It’s awesome and I am already using it.

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: it’s still in, but looks a little flatter!

SYMPTOMS: I woke up one morning quite early with either round ligament pain or a couple contractions, who knows! It did keep me up for a while and was a bit uncomfortable. My nausea seems to be making a tiny comeback but I’m not gonna let it happen. I guess I need to stay clear of a few food items and I will probably be good.

Actually the round ligament pain happened more then once. It came on Saturday night too for about 2 or 3 hours on and off and is very uncomfortable.

LABOR SIGNS: a few braxton hicks contractions but that’s it.

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: My baby shower this coming Sunday with all my friends and family in Greenwich

Cooper is doing much better :)

Yesterday we ran our first Group Power class for the staff. It went really well and everyone loved the workout! You know you did a hard workout when you walk down the stairs and your legs feel like Jell-O!

These are some of the modifications I had to make during Group Power workout:

1. Keeping my hips higher on pushups so my abdominal muscles weren’t fully engaged

2. I kept my step box at an incline for chest press & abs so that I was never lying completely flat

3. I limited my range of motion in squats & lunges so that I wasn’t too deep. I noticed that the ab exercises were extremely harder this time around and again I shortened my range of motion!

I have 10 weeks left to go with this pregnancy… woo!

I guess for me 30 weeks seems like we are nearing the end of the pregnancy & 70 days seems like nothing!!! Baby G will be here in no time and I honestly can’t wait for her arrival already.

Here’s what has been going on this past week……..

30 WEEKS

THE BABY IS close to 17 1/2 inches long the size of a large head of lettuc , Weighing about 3.2lbs

WEIGHT GAINED: no weight gain this week… still hanging at 17lbs the doctor said I will most likely gain another 8lbs before my due date!

GENDER: It’s a girl!!!

30 Weeks.. The belly is really popping!

WORKOUTS:

My workouts this week were slacking due to Mr. Cooper’s emergency Thursday & Friday. His health was more important then my workouts and I have a very BUSY work week and workout schedule this week so I took advantage of the rest days.

TUESDAY taught boot camp

WEDNESDAY 1 hour group power practice, taught boot camp

THURSDAY OFF

FRIDAY OFF

SATURDAY 25 minutes cardio (elliptical/bike combo)

SUNDAY OFF DAY (BABY SHOWER)

MONDAY Strength day 1 hour group power workout class for the YMCA staff, and taught senior fitness

FOOD AVERSIONS: I am still not liking the sound of mexican food.. salsa, cilantro, anything along those lines. As for vegetables… I ate much more of them this week, I definitely ate them whenever possible and didn’t seem to have an issue. Maybe I am turning a corner!

FOOD CRAVINGS: Carb are really appealing lately. Potatoes, multi-grain toast, dry cereal, etc. I definitely can’t live without my eggs in the morning and have been really liking yogurt with fruit and granola as a snack! Bring on the fruit, I love fruit.

SLEEP: I pass out at night especially after a long day at work, my body is ready for sleep. The past two nights I slept about 6-7 hours and I wake up earlier to check on Cooper. I get up once or twice in the middle of the night to pee so that’s not too bad either.

MATERNITY CLOTHES: I am officially stretching out all my regular workout clothes, but I do have a few maternity workout tops that will grow with me until the end. I need to buy some new workout pants/capris. The one’s i have been wearing are just way too tight and irritate me around my belly button.

STRETCH MARKS: None, yet.. lets keep it that way!

DO I MISS ANYTHING: I miss walking Cooper, I always looked forward to getting outside and walking him for 20 minutes every day and he is in recovery mode so we won’t be able to get a good walk in for another week. This weather has been great too, what a tease. I also miss being more active in my classes, its extremely difficult to not demonstrate jump squats, x-jumps, etc. The walking boot has really limited me but I am focusing on getting my foot better, my exercise can be done differently the next 2 weeks.

MOVEMENT: Baby G is getting stronger, and I feel her movements all day long. I even feel her when I am teaching classes and working out myself. Apparently she’s trying to get her workout on too.

BABY ITEMS PURCHASED: We got a ton of baby presents at our shower this weekend. I am so thankful for all my Rhode Island friends and family that came to celebrate. Some big items were our stroller & car seat which I LOVE, our pack n play, playmat, and tons of cute little baby girl clothes that I couldn’t wait to hang in her closet.

WEDDING RINGS ON or OFF: ON

BELLY BUTTON IN or OUT: looking more flat these days… but not popping yet!

SYMPTOMS: I feel pretty great.. I have noticed that after being on my feet for 2-3 hours straight I am finding I need a few minutes to sit down and relax my feet for a bit. I’m not as tough as I was in the beginning! I’m always drinking water, which makes me have to pee all day long.

LABOR SIGNS: I had some Braxton Hicks contractions on Sunday night.. I wasn’t sure what was going on!!! They were coming and going for about 1/2 hour or so. It helped to get up and walk around.

I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: Launching our Group Power class Wednesday!! After having the staff class it got me really excited for the members to try it out. I can’t wait to hear member feedback. It will be fun. I am also looking forward to a relaxing Columbus day weekend since we don’t have plans
